Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 6, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information Castdi ("Castdi", "we", "us"), the company operating the Castdi software platform, collects, how we use it, and the choices you have when you use our casting and production operations software.

Information we collect

Account and profile information you provide, such as your name, email address, phone number, portfolio media, resume, and company details.

Casting activity, including roles you post or apply to, applications, shortlists, bookings, messages, and workroom scheduling data.

Usage and device information, such as log data and browser type, collected automatically to keep the service reliable and secure.

Payment details for paid plans, handled by our payment processor — Castdi does not store full card numbers.

Information from third-party accounts you choose to connect, such as Google Calendar. We only request the access needed to provide that specific feature, and you can disconnect at any time from Settings → Connected accounts.

How we use information

To operate and improve Castdi: authenticate your account, run casting workflows, schedule and sync calendar events, and process bookings and payments.

To communicate with you about your account and casting activity, and — only if you opt in — product updates and tips.

To maintain the safety and integrity of the platform, including detecting fraud, spam, and abuse.

How we share information

With other users as part of how casting works — for example, a business sees the portfolio and application details a talent submits; an agency sees applications for the talent it represents.

With service providers who help us run Castdi, such as hosting, email delivery, and payment processing, under agreements that limit their use of your data.

When required by law, to protect Castdi and our users, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties for advertising.

Google API services and connected accounts

When you connect Google Calendar, Castdi requests only the permission needed to create, update, and delete events on your calendar for one-way sync from Castdi. We do not read the content of unrelated events.

Castdi's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

You can review and revoke access at any time from your Google Account settings, or by disconnecting the integration from Settings → Connected accounts in Castdi.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences like language and theme, and understand how Castdi is used so we can improve it.

You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may affect parts of the service that rely on staying signed in.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, and for a reasonable period afterward to meet legal, accounting, or legitimate business needs.

You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time; some information may be retained where required by law.

Data security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures — including encryption in transit and access controls — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Your rights and choices

You can access and update your profile information at any time, manage active sessions and passkeys from Settings → Security & access, and disconnect third-party integrations from Settings → Connected accounts.

You can opt out of marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link, and you can request a copy or deletion of your data by contacting us.

Children's privacy

Castdi is intended for individuals who have reached the age of majority in their jurisdiction, or for talent agencies and guardians managing an account on behalf of a minor performer. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children outside of that context.

International data transfers

Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than your own. Where required, we take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you directly.
